A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
These very tiny 3mm shiny black ants with a double petiole were trying to drag a 1 cm long Sharpshooter (which was very beautiful) backwards up a vertical stone wall. There were about 10 ants working together and truly struggling with the weight of their prey. For every 5 cm up they would fall back down 3. Their persistence and determination were phenomenal to watch.
