Trachinus draco
Greater weevers can be found in a wide range, including the Mediterranean. They hide in sand, being not easily visible. Their dorsal spines contain venom that is injected into an unlucky person's foot. Symptoms include intense pain, numbness and vomiting. However, it is not common to be stung by one. In Greek, it is called "drakena" (δράκαινα).
Sandy bottom, at a depth of 3-4 meters.
