Spotting

Notes:

This seed case (seed inside) was found in a tin belonging to my late Grandfather. He must have kept it as a souvenir from calling at the port of Corinto, Nicaragua, during his time serving in the Royal Navy. It is his handwriting. The reason I am posting on Project Noah is in the hope that someone can identify the seed case as I have not had any luck personally. There is still a seed inside this hard outer casing.

I'm stumped too. Cannot find anything
Just off the bat, I would have said a stone, something like Picture Jasper or an Agate, however, if it rattles, it's unlikely a stone.

Could you add a photograph of the right side (of the last / 4th photo), I'm interested to see that dark patch and what seems to be a small dimple and a tiny pimple.

It's not carved Mark as far as I am aware, & I really don't want to crack open the casing.

Apologies Sukanya, my description was not clear .... I "think" there is a seed within the casing I have posted, it certainly rattles when shaken.

Looks like it is carved from pine. I guess you'll just have to plant it to be sure Viv. ;-)
